When a plant is harvested, the terpenes begin to degrade. The drying and curing process have a devastating effect on the terpenes. Live Resin uses a process by which the plant is flash frozen after harvest to subcritical temperatures. It is kept there throughout the purging process – the difference between varieties being the amount of time allotted for the plant to cure/dry.

What separates live resins from other concentrate products is the elevated terpene content. Most live resins boast a richer terpene profile than normal BHO extracts. In addition to producing a more pungent aroma, higher and more complex terpene profiles can also deliver an elevated psychoactive experience because terpenes can interact with cannabinoids such as THC and CBD.

Storing Resin:
To ensure a long and stable shelf life, the concentrate should be stored in an air-tight and light-proof container, like a silicone or glass jar, in a cool environment. Moisture, oxygen, light, and storing the budder in warmer temperatures will speed up the degradation process.
