What is CBD and its effects?
CBD or Cannabidiol is one of over 60 compounds found in Cannabis that belong to a class of ingredients called Cannabidnoids. THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol usually gets most of the attention because it is the ingredient in Cannabis that produces mind-altering effects in users but CBD is also present in high concentrations. CBD is the major non-psychoactive component of Cannabis.
Studies have found that CBD behaves as a non-toxic compound and has many medical benefits. It has been proven to effective in treating inflammation to more serious conditions such as epilepsy and certain types of cancer. CBD also has antioxidant activity greater than Vitamin C or Vitaman D.

CBD decreases the ability of the cancer cells to produce energy, leading to the death of the cells. It also blocks CPR55 signaling, decreasing cancer cell proliferation. CBD posses anti-tumor properties in gliomas and has been used to treat leukemia.
